HOW TO MAKE AND INSTALL CLOCKWORK MOD (CWM ) ON MTK ANDROID PHONES USING MTK DROID TOOLS

YOU MUST BE ROOTED

USES OF CLOCKWORK

1.Making Nandroid backup.

2.Upgrading/installing custom Rom.

3.Flash mods,files,hack.

To flash clockwork mod,

==> Download and extract MTKDroid tools.

==> Launch MTKDroid tools.

==> Connect the Mtk android phone,and wait for droid tool to detect the phone

==> On droid tool,click on ROOT BUTTON.

It will automatically request you to grant superSU admin

right , do that from the phone,the tool will install Busy box and

shell.

==> After installing the apps and superSU granted admin right, a

small box on droid tool at the down left corner will turn

green,telling you that the phone has been properly connected.Note

that at first connection, the box on the software will turn yellow.you

can see this notification at the left down side from the

mtkdroidtools.

==> Still on MTKdroidtools, click on the button

" root,backup,recovery, a new interface opens,now click on

backup to create a backup of all your phone system.

==> This may take some time,so you have to be patient.This step is

required in other to have a back up of the phone because files called boot.img and recovery.img are needed from the backup and

also its recommended to keep the whole backup safe for further

use should the phone develop problem.

==> After creating the backup, it will ask you if you want it in zip

archive also, you can either click yes or No.you can zip it

yourself,so no point clicking yes except you want to wait again

==> Now that the back up is complete, we are ready to install the

clockwork mod to the phone

==> Now scroll to recovery and boot, you will see different radio

button to choose from, just choose the phone that says choose the

boot.img file

make sure the phone is still connected when doing this.

==> After ticking the radio button, click on the recovery and boot

button , it will open the folder where the backup was made and then

select the boot.img file from the backup, it will ask you if you want

to create and install patch,click yes

==> After clicking yes, it will ask if you want to create a custom

recovery, click yes.It will create cwm recovery for you and then ask

if you want to install it automatically to the phone, click yes, it will

install it and asked you to reboot,click OK to reboot to reboot the

phone.

It will reboot into recovery mode.You now have a custom CWM

recovery on your mtk android phone .
