HOW TO FLASH A NOKIA LUMIA PHONE

RECOVERING A BRICKED LUMIA PHONE

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU FURTHER BRICK THE LUMIA PHONE IN THE PROCESS, THOUGH ITS UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN IF YOU FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS

Procedure

1. Download and Install Nokia Care Suite.

2. Download the correct Rm of the Lumia phone

3.Charge Phone to atleast 50percent.

4.Create a folder on the desktop name (Products)

5.Create another folder named Rm-xxx (where xxx is the rm number eg Rm-761)

6.Copy the downloaded Rm to the Rm-xxx folder and move Rm-xxx to the folder Products

7.The final path should look like this C:desktop/products/Rm-761/

8. Disconnect the phone from the computer and run Nokia Care Suite

9. Run Product Support Tool for Store 5.0 by double-clicking on it

10.  Go to File > Open Product

11. Select your phone type from the list and click Open

12. Click on Programming, then Recovery.

13. If you’ve been following the steps carefully and your firmware is already in the right folder, you should see it listed on this page after selecting Recovery.

14.Hit the start button to begin the process but like I warned, don’t plug in your phone yet. At this point, Nokia Care Suite should verify your firmware files.

15.After this, you should be told your phone isn’t detected. It is only now you can plug in your phone via USB.
– Plug it in
– Hold down the Vloume down and Power button till you feel a soft vibration
– Release this buttons and hit the Retry button on Nokia Care Suite. Then hold the Volum Up key till Nokia Care Suite says Rebooting.
16. Flashing should start now

The flashing process will take a while and will notify you once done
