How To Change An Android Version (build.prop method)

Build.prop is a file in the android system file

To edit this the phone must be rooted

To access this file.Es explorer is used

Once installed, open es explorer and navigate to /device

Once in the device internal memory, Locate system

Enter system and look for build.prop

There is also build.prop.bak (dont tamper  this file)

Open build.prop and edit using ES NOTE EDITOR

-edit Android Version by locating ro.build.version.release= and changing the current Build Version.
- Edit your Model # by locating ro.product.model= and changing your model #
- change your product brand by locating ro.product.brand=

-edit

Please Note that if you change the product brand, the name MUST be in ALL LOWERCASE LETTERS!!!

  After editing press Save, exit the app and reboot the phone.
Once phone  reboots, go to Settings/About and see the changes
